Not Your Average Folk (aka. NYAF) is an online acoustic & indie music magazine based in Boston, covering the New England Area. NYAF works to bring together fans, venues, artists, and events in one place. With an events calendar that rivals that of Boston.com and LiveNation.com, the site has experienced over 600% growth in readership over the past year. Thousands of local music lovers consider NYAF the authority on Acoustic and Independent Music. They visit the site to read reviews, find upcoming shows, discover and rate venues, and purchase exlusive gear. What We Do: Through partnerships with Festivals including Move the Muse Festival & the Berkshire Women's Muse Fest, NotYourAverageFolk.com has grown from covering Boston to the entire New England Area. The site has also expanded reach through strategic promotions with artists such as Viena Teng, Ellis Paul, Antje Duvekot, Will Dailey, Jason Myles Goss, and many more artists of note.
