Not Your Average Folk

Since 1985, the Linden Tree Coffeehouse has been located in the social hall of the Unitarian Universalist Church in downtown Wakefield. Annually there are about twelve acoustic music concerts featuring local and national singer-songwriters, playing a wide range of folk music from contemporary, traditional, bluegrass, and blues. Most of the performers can be heard on local folk radio stations such as WUMB (91.9), WERS (88.9) and WGBH (89.7). Many of the coffeehouse regular patrons come each month because of the wonderful talent, friendly atmosphere, fresh coffee, and homemade baked goods.
